does anyone know a shock fits in the back (75 1300 super) that is shorter than factory? lowered my car last night but run out of captiveness and need to go lower, so need shorter shocks. saves me a bit of measuring and researching (through shock catalogs) if someone can list one off the top of their head....

cheers

Not really shorter but this is what I did in my race car. They are HQ Holden sized.

is that so you still get full travel range but at a lower height?

avenga

Yes, That is correct. I didn't want to be bottoming out on the track.

fair enough haha. Im not so bothered in my car, so will just get shorter shocks.

I did the same sort of thing when I lowered the front of my Charger. I used 2" drop spindles so it kept all the suspension travel while lowering the car.

Sort of like having a decent amount of travel, my tailbone complains too much if I drive around on the bump stops.

haha. theres plenty of room till bumpstops (at the moment) in the rear. they are huge in the back so might cut them down if I bottom out too much. front bumpstops are huuuuuge so will cit them in half when I lower it again (it bottoms out a bit if I take on a big bump).

i used spax gas adjustable on the rear of the tiger they are listed for use on the chevette or kadett b,i just changed the top mounting for the avenger one and pushed out the rubber bush in the bottom and fitted urethane bushes instead as the chevette one is sleeved, spax krypton i think they were.

hmmm sounds expensive....might just have to pull out the shocks catalouge and bury myself in that for a while.

quick question. anyone whos looked at the avenger rear shocks will know what im talking about, but the two stud top mount on the shock, Im assuming I can switch that over to another pair of shocks with the normal single stud top mount?

avengertiger

i did with the spax ones there is a big 17 or so in the centre take that off and put on the avenger top plate with the 2 13's and put back on the big nut if your left with excess thread just trim it off after.
