Just need a Chrysler badge to complete the set, naahhh!!! - Here Chrysler means a leaf sprung people-carrier with the re-sale value and desirability of scrap iron! Yes yes Chrysler Avenger or Sunbeam is very different response of course.

There is a possibility that I'll end up with a MK2 sooner or later, well make that a probability, and I notice the front badge often missing so its a good keep.

Yep that's for sure! I wonder was the imperial (cherry) red one a drum-braked 1300!

That clip was part of a news report about a slump in new car sales in 1974/5 so the compound of Avengers there would have been sold off on the cheap too! Well, once the truck-drivers came off strike.

Just to complete the fantacy, imagine if a five gallon drum of red-lead paint had fallen into the primer mix! Oh, and there was an explosion of Waxoil on the assembly track just before the bodies hit the paint section!

Yours was reading 200 km/h at 7000 rpm which is about right...of course any old bucket of bolts will go 200 km/h up on stands!
