Hi guys. Ross and I went down to the Horopito wreakers, this is where they filmed Smash Palace.

They had 10 Avengers there plus heaps of lights etc. We got a whole bunch of spares but there is still plenty more parts left.

It is well worth the trip. We spent a few hours there but you could easily spend the whole day there. We only saw a fraction of the cars there and once we found the Avenger section we were stuck there climbing in and out of the wreaks looking for bits and pieces. Heaps of fun, we even spotted a rare Avenger "Van", you can tell it is a Van by the lack of rear window winders or door handles and the fixed glass. It is the first time I have ever seen an Avenger Van.

Here are some pictures. Some Avengers and some other random stuff.

A bunch of us from oldschool.co.nz are planning a trip back to Horopito in a couple of weeks. You should tag along. See if you can find a good beetle gearbox.

Went back to Horopito and spotted another Avenger wagon and a poverty spec late model cluster. Never seen one of those before, maybe it's from the Avenger "Van" they have there.

did you end up getting the cut for the quad headlights Richard?

They never got back to me and the weather was crap on the way back so I didn't bother calling in. I will give them a ring this week and see what they want for it.

ah yep. its a shame that they are prety ho hum about everything. They say its a wreckers but dont want to sell anything......KK grabbed a parcel tray out of the bx that was there, and the lady said that he had to put it back because the car was too complete so they didnt want to sell anything from it. I put my money on going back in a year or 2 and it will be in a sad state

avenga

Yeah I asked about a few other bits and bobs and she was the same, saying she would have to go out and look at it first to see if it was for sale.
