What type of fan do you have? Electric, fixed or viscous?

You want to get a new pump because if you replace the fan pully, you also need to replace the crank pulley because the offset is different between the fan styles.

Try Graeme Ekins (0211471114)
Bruce Ardell (Mechanical Restorations, Vintage and Classic Spares in Wanganui 06 3437713)
or Butler auto mart down in Christchurch http://www.butlerautomart.co.nz/search.aspx?S=avenger

I just got a late model electric fan style water pump from Butler, I think it was their last of that style. I know Graeme has the fixed fan type in stock, and Butler has the viscous coupling style http://www.butlerautomart.co.nz/our-range/Engine-cooling/Water-pumps/Product-Specification-QCP951.aspx

Yeah. I noticed it when I went to replace the water pump on my 79 wagon. I had an old water pump from an early Avenger spare, so I was going to use that but the length of the shaft is longer on one of them, I can't remember which was longer, I'll take some measurements when I'm working on the wagon again in the weekend.
