Title: Dodge 1500 (Avenger from Argentina) 1.8L turbo electronic fiel injection
Post by: elpinguino on March 21, 2017, 02:24:37 PM
Hi from Argentina!!

The Dodge 1500 is the Hillman Avenger that has been made and sold in Argentina (my country) from 1974.

I really like how the car looks and the meaning of being made in Argentina, so i decided to get one of them, and "upgrade" it to race 1/4 mile.

Every mod in this car has been made by me and a friend.

It has it?s original engine, but with forged pistons, turbo, and a megasquirt EFI system.

Last Saturday we started the engine after 4 years of work, and i want to share it with you.

Link to the engine (just started, we still need to set a lot of things)

Sorry if my english is not so good, as I said, I?m from Argentina

Hope you like it and tell what you think about it.

Welcome to the forum.

That looks really nice. I love what you have done with the engine and turbo.

The dashboard looks like it will be cool once you have finished it.

I like the back end of the Dodge 1500, they have changed the boot slightly, the boot look a little taller than the Hillman/Chrysler. Looking up the specs the Dodge 1500 is 150mm longer also. It looks like the swage line over the back wheels looks a bit more pronounced on the Dodge 1500.
