Title: Boot Spoiler
Post by: streetracer75 on April 27, 2014, 01:47:33 AM
Hi does anyone know where I could get a boot spoiler for an Avenger? I am wanting one like the one on Avenga's car, rather than the Tiger type one.
Thanks.

avega's one is a complete fibreglass boot with spoiler integrated into it, I think he may still know where the moulds are if you ask nice, I would also like a boot/spoiler one day to go on my race car "one day"

The problem there, of course, is shipping a boot from NZ to England. But possibly still a lot cheaper than having new moulds made up.

I know that the Tiger spoilers were a little bit weird, but I think a lot of that was to do with how they were positioned. They actually have a better effect mounted lower on the boot lid if that was the issue you had with them?

Yup. Mine is a one piece fibreglass bonnet. I do have the moulds so I can make new ones but shipping would be killer to the UK.

What are we talking about cost wise for the actual boot lid? The Tiger type spoilers are available here but I prefer the moulded type, as I think they break the lines of the car up less.

From memory, I thought they did a black rubberised version in the same style as yours (like the Escort and Capris) but I could be wrong?

Thanks.

only 11 years later Yeah the "Black rubber" was an addon available back in the 80's & 90's though I have not seen alternative recently (might be time for a deep dive into Google hah

in my mind Holden Torana's or Escort's used to get them too (small 4's etc

Similar too :

around $350 AU

Aka Bobtail / Ducktail with different shapes available & may need adjusting to suit 'our' boot / Trunk Shape eh
