Title: todds car identifaction chart
Post by: avengertiger on August 09, 2011, 07:56:59 PM
whilst out and about i noticed a rather large poster in a local garage detialing all the cars todds had on offer, starting with mitsubushi, chrysler, hillman etc it has black and white photos and description underneath, all the avenger range is there and valiants etc,i asked the foreman if i could have it and he said no they are to hard to come by now but if i wanted to i could try make a copy of it,so i did its in the print shop now i left it with them to work on,im trying to get it full size which is roughly about 600 x 700 mm and on glossy paper,it would look pretty cool if it scans ok!!
anybody else like a copy not sure of cost yet, while its at the printers, should find out tomorrow if its a good scan.

I have seen the poster you are talking about. One of my Valiant mates has one.

He also sent me some info from a big book of old car prices. I will upload it tomorrow.

the original is on the left and copy on the right the copy is a lot better easier to read maybe i shouldnt have got it on glossy paper pics might be a bit hard to make out as they are quite large maybe 600 x 700mm.

this copy cost me 60 dollars as i had to pay for the scan and i got them to put it on disc so i can get more done if needed i know a few guys down here who would like one.so if i get a bundle i will see if the printers can do it cheaper for more, they can laminate them for 8 dollars each to which i think i will do on another one.im happy with it need to give original back on monday.

Thats interesting about I.D. chart    I scored one myself from a garage that didnt want it and carefully removed the many staples attached. Its in my garage away from direct light as can fade pretty quick.
Also a memo for anybody interested. There are two Avengers parked up in a car collection in Wanganui. I havnt seen them myself so not sure of condition except been dry stored for years and are early 70s models. Think one may be twin headlight model?
Phone Basil McCulloch on 06 3455897 evgs. He wishes to sell on. Reg. are dead [i think] Cheers, Graeme. P.Nth
