Title: 2dooravenger's 1974 2 door Avenger Sunseeker
Post by: 2dooravenger on June 14, 2026, 07:28:10 PM
This is my wife and my 1974 Hillman Avenger 2 door "SunSeeker"

We were given this car by my father in law after he has owned it for 25 years, original plan was to paint it green and do some period correct modifications to it because this is how he always wanted the car to be so after putting the car on my "Sunny Spares NZ" social media page and finding out from some Avenger nuts in the UK that this is 1 of 4 known 2 door Avenger sunseekers we have decided to restore it back to pretty close to original. My wife is a car painter so she doesn't want to do the vinyl roof but i may persuade her one day.

I will post updates when I can, I will also be updating my FB and IG with all the build details, you can find me on the socials under "Sunny Spares NZ"

The car was taken out of my parents in laws garage where my mother in law used the Avenger to store her kayaks on, once back to my house we put it on a nice steel trolley, finished stripping the car and took it to my wife's work to be epoxied and get some repairs done.
