Post by: JoKer on October 13, 2025, 08:58:27 PM
Was looking around for parts & stumbled upon this product oddly from Australia

https://www.weberperformance.com.au/product/hillman-avenger-uk-nz-weber-dcoe-manifold/

not sure of use BUT looks interesting & might be worth testing for anyone wanting a bit more bang than OEM TC's

Prices are October 2025 so don't sue me if they change over time

This is what I have ready to bolt onto my 1600 after the rebuild. The biggest issue is trying to work out the jetting for the carb as it's a single pretending to be a double.
Weber in Aus who are the agents don't know, Weber in Akl had a guess, palmside in chch had a different opinion and any charts are different again.

If anyone has one fitted, I would be grateful to know the jetting. At least to start as a baseline.

Cheers Errol.

ahh stink & easy for me to say but I'd probably visit an oldschool Dyno guy who's got a box of Jets and an o2 sensor to pop in the tail pipe

thats kinda what I did with the Twin Dellorto's setup on mine

half a days "work" test & tune isnt cheap either

there might be a 'base' formula for a 1600 (Escort?) but yeah wont be set written down for something like that I fear eh
