Title: NZ Avengers
Post by: Howard Hargate on November 16, 2017, 11:33:04 AM
Hi, my name is Howard I am a member of the ASOC in  Uk and I am on holiday here from the Uk. I own 2 Avengers in Uk , a mk1 super 1500 and a mk2 1600 LS Estate. I love Avengers , I was an apprentice at a hillman dealer in Yorkshire on leaving school so I worked on loads of Avengers. I also went to the Stoke engine plant on a 1 week Avenger course getting a sneak preview of the new Mk2 whilst I was there. I was hoping to see some Avengers whilst over in NZ but apart from the museum in Napier where they are stacked on top of each other. Despite peering into garages and drives Ihave not seen another Avenger. We arrive in Christchurch on Friday to stay with friends till Wednesday when we fly onto Australia. I know I have left it late but if there are ant Avenger owners in Christchurch area who might have an hour free it would be great to meet up and see your Avenger. Monday / Tuesday might be best days as friends are working but will try to fit in to suit. My email is howardhargate@ gmail.com If you send a message either on here or e mail I will contact you when I have wifi. Thanks for your time. Howard

Hi. I have 3 Avengers, but I am up in Auckland.

There is one Avenger at Stewarts car museum in christchurch http://stewartsclassiccars.co.nz/ (http://stewartsclassiccars.co.nz/)

I have the exact same combo as you, this is my NZ Mk1 super 1500 (it started off as a super) and my NZ Mk2 1600 LS Estate.

I went to the Smales Farm classic car show today and saw my old Chrysler Avenger there for sale! Anybody seen it driving around the North Shore?
Owners phone number is 021-124-8085

I"ll keep an eye out for it because I live on the Shore.

I was going to take my wagon along to Smales farm but I was down in Wellington over the weekend. I will go along next month and see if it is there again.

Oh gosh yes that museum near Napier is depressing, all cars stacked on top of each other in dust.. As I recall Azzas family had donated a car there and we somehow got in free on that premise. Otherwise it was a good $10 to go and have a look at the sad state of the cars
