I got my carpets for my 1975 Avenger from these guys. They are made by Autodec in Manukau, Auckland. You can see photos of the installation under my "Avenga's 1975 Avenger" thread.

I installed them myself over easter weekend last year, they were a really good company to deal with, I rung and ordered them on the Monday before easter and he said he would get his guys to start making the carpets straight away so I could have it to install over the long weekend. They arrived at my doorstep on Wednesday morning, less than 2 days later. Can't ask for faster than that.

I chose to go for a dark chocolate brown, It looks much darker than in my photos. I had a few fitment issues with the mould for the transmission tunnel being too wide but I trimmed that and hid the cuts under the centre consoles. I also have to cut the carpets to get it to fit around the pedal box and heater but that was easily done.

Man those are awesome. You would have to put some serious flared arches on the get those bad boys to fit.

I had to roll the guards on my race car to get my 205/60/R13 tyres on 13x7 Hotwires to fit.

haha yeh there is no way those will fit. my new rims are only 6" and maybe half that dish and they are inline with the guards

avenga

My 13x6" tridents with 185/70/R13 Goodyear rubber fits nicely under the stock guards, much bigger than that I think you will have to start modifying the wheel arches.

at the end of the day its all about offset really

avenga

True, I guess your offset is a lot different on your mags. I have never checked to see how much room you have on the inside on the arch.

I had a look at some of my old photos and here is one where you can see the inside clearance on my race car with its 205s, there is a bit of room but not enough for those 10" rims. Mini-tubbed Avenger anyone?

I saw this Avenger Wagon listed, Pretty rough shape, probably only good for a parts car unless someone is looking for a real project.

Chrysler / Hillman Avenger 1980

Quote from: http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=351898915Must go $1 no reserve

Bought this vehicle around 6 years ago, and has been a work in progress type ever since. Has had a WOF a couple of times but now the rego has lapsed so really only suitable as a donor car.

Has been professionally lowered with compressed springs and shortened shock absorbers - believe they can go into a sedan also.

The motor has a worked cam and twin carbs although one of the carbs (it may not go at the moment - Its been a year since I have visited the car...)

Also have a wildcat downdraft manifold for it (can seperate)

Heaps of spares inside the car though I think half of them are for an r31 skyline...

Nice Sportsline(?again cant remember) wood steering wheel - probably worth more than the car itself

gearbox and diff are in good nick from memory.

Probably other things but again been a year so I am a bit hazzy.

I will be down in christchurch on thursday 10th feb if anyone wants to view it will have to arrange for a time then, and will need the payment for the car and it to be picked up before 10am sunday 13th feb (as I am leaving chch again)

want!

ill buy and you can buy the bgox of me and use bellhousing?

avenga

Yeah I would be keen on the bell housing so I can do my 5 speed conversion.

We should offer the auto gearbox to "Oldschool" as a spare for his son's automatic Avenger.
